Real people. A real family.
From Andrew Morandi’s beginning in 1985 to Bill and Liz today, our story belongs to the people who have worked here.
Our purpose
Our purpose is simple: make delicious, distinctive local products that our neighbors are glad to bring home and proud to share.
We are a real, small, local family business. That means people with a connection to the work, a place we call home, and artisanal food made by and for our neighbors. A favorite slice of cheese can say a lot about that.
The things we come back to
From Andrew Morandi’s beginning in 1985 to Bill and Liz today, our story belongs to the people who have worked here.
Taylors, Garfields, and Meriden locals have helped carry our flavor across the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont, and beyond.
Unique artisanal products, our original cob and hardwood smoked flavor recipe, and food you look forward to eating again.
Part of the neighborhood
Our shop is part of Meriden, and Meriden is part of the shop. Generations of local people have worked alongside the Taylor and Garfield families, bringing their own time and care to a familiar neighborhood business.
Supporting local business is personal to us. A visit, a recommendation to a friend, or a gift chosen from the smokehouse keeps that connection going. We’re grateful to everyone who makes room for Garfield’s on their table.
Food brings people together
A favorite cheese on a cracker. Pure maple on a weekend breakfast. A food gift chosen for someone you love. We make food for those everyday moments, and we love seeing our smokehouse favorites become part of your table.
Our guides explain the cheeses, pairings and serving ideas that help you make something delicious. Our recipe collection gives you familiar dishes to cook and share.
